there was no list. Trump's DoJ arrested and investigated Epstein during his first term. Epstein died under Trump's watch. if there was a list or other incriminating evidence then his DoJ would have found it and he would have known about it.
so after losing the 2020 election, Trump and his cronies do what they did best: lie and stoke baseless conspiracies to gain support. and it paid off with the 2024 election. now his supporters want to see him take action on what he campaigned on - releasing the list. but he thinks his supporters are retarded so he has Bondi release some bullshit and pass it off as the Epstein files.
his supporters don't buy it and the Epstein issue doesn't go away. at this point he has two choices: either he keeps stringing people along and continues to delay and deflect (which would only serve to keep Epstein as an issue for the foreseeable future) or he tries to stamp out the whole thing by definitely stating that there is no list despite the short term anger and disappointment it would generate.
he chooses the latter because he knows Americans are retarded and have short attention spans. while some part of his base might be disaffected, they're not going to vote for the dems as a protest. and given that there is still over a year to go for the midterms and over 3 years until the next presidential election, it is highly likely that most people will have moved on to other issues by that time.
y'all got played and are mad because you know he's going to get away with it
