>What is the cost of memes? It's not that we'll mistake them for the truth. The real danger is that if we see enough memes, then we no longer recognize the truth at all. What can we do then? What else is left but to abandon even the hope of truth and content ourselves instead with memes? In these memes, it doesn't matter who the shills are. All we know is: "Jews are to blame"

OK so we established that an American CSG is going to have enough ordinance for someone like the Houthis. This is an important step.
>just assuming the US military is perfect
This is a strawman. Don't resort to sneed yet, anon, I believe in you!

Personally I believe that 60% of posts in those threads are botted because the amount of interaction I see there is very low compared to how quickly the threads go.

Let's be honest here, you have not followed the 2 years US operation against Houthis, you just assume the USN is in such way, and repeat "it's like this" ad nauseam. Very hard to talk with people who drunk this flavor of kool-aid.

So let's begin with the basics, do you know there's an ongoing civil war in Yemen?

You’re coping by pretending that the armed forces, intelligence services, and the political arm of the government are separate entities that have nothing to do with each other. They aren’t. And clearly a carrier group does not have the firepower to wipe out the Houthis, because if it did it would have done so. You can’t argue that they didn’t want to.

>firepower to take down the Houthis
This is really the crux of the question.
What does the USN actually DO?
Who tells the USN what to do?
And who tells the USN how to do it?

Let's take a step back. Remember the air campaign against Libya? Why did that campaign succeed when it was against a much bigger and advanced opponent (as compared to the Houthis) while the campaign against the Houthis fail?

>The main parade ground, with the administrative buildings around it was not hit.
That's it?
What reason would USN have for hitting this target? Is this a military site used by the Houthis?
By this metric Russia is screwing up by not destroying the Ukrainian Rada building.

Targeted as many Houthi targets as they could, never enough of them to half Houthi operations. Sometimes it's not about not hitting a few tactic targets, something raw power is required.

I got it, you want to say "the intel was bad, that's why the USN failed to hit a few super-duper important targets that would have won", this is not true.
The multiple carrier groups and land based USAF forces operating in Yemen simply couldn't target Houthi operations hard enough. There were no magic targets that if found would allow the US win.

In comparison to the Houthis? Yes. Libya actually had an airforce, armor divisions, and a standing army.

I think we're starting to repeat ourselves so I'll give you 1/2 of the answer.
The USN does not attack the Houthis, they attack TARGETS (you were very close on this!). Now how does the USN know what those targets actually are?

If I was the US commander, trying to stop Houthis from targeting cargo ships bound to Israel, I'd either send a land force and be willing to take casualties, or muster enough force to actually damage Houthi operations faster than the can put things back in place.

>The USN does not attack the Houthis, they attack TARGETS (you were very close on this!).
The cope, the USN and USAF both attacked as many targets as physically possible, it was just far from enough.

China boosts support for Russia after Trump’s trade threats

Beijing and Moscow are drawing closer amid ultimatums, The Telegraph reports.

After President Trump warned of possible 100% tariffs on Russia’s trade partners unless Moscow makes concessions, China signaled it would not abandon its support for the Kremlin.

Chinese leader Xi Jinping, during a meeting with Lavrov, said that trust between the two countries has “deepened” and that they are “building a new type of international relations” in which they must “strengthen mutual support.”

The Kremlin did not ignore Trump’s statement. Deputy Foreign Minister Ryabkov said that if the West does not respond to Russia’s “readiness to negotiate,” Moscow will continue pursuing its goals through the “special military operation.”

Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov went even further, claiming sanctions mean nothing to Russia.

“There are already an unprecedented number of sanctions against us — we’re managing. I have no doubt we’ll continue to cope. Knowing our partners, I don’t see how they could abandon their independent policy. They have commitments,” Lavrov said.

Did such "super-duper important targets" even exist? Were they within reach of conventional ordinance in the Yemeni mountains?
You write yourself later that there were "no magic targets", but the Houthis STILL had targets which USN did not hit. Why were they not hit? Because American ground intelligence in Yemen is non-existent and they had to rely on satellite data (very limited in scope), whatever the kikes told them, and hitting "obvious" dual use targets like oil depots.

But this is only one part of the reason why the Operation Prosperity Guardian (or whatever gay-ass name that OP had) failed. What is the second half?

No, the whole Houthi movement lack a few critical centers that when destroyed will make the whole thing to halt and crumble.

Instead, the Houthis had a lot of targets, some fortified, some not, some public and obvious, some not. To stop the Houthis from being able to attack ships, the US would need to hit far more targets than the USN and USAF forces had the capacity to hit. Got it?

Correct. The problem is that it never works without SOME kind of ground component whether it's a general looking for an opening for a coup, a popular revolution, or some other group that'll actually hold ground. Unfortunately this is a very common disease you often see in Washington because tossing some bombs at people without modern AD is easy, almost risk-free, and cheap (both politically and economically).
>>510496021
DING DING DING DING
Yes!
It failed because it could have never succeeded within parameters established by the politicians which were (at their core): "no land invasion".
Moreover, it was greatly hampered by lack of ground intel and a shortage of established military or dual-use sites that USN can bomb with help of satellite data.
>So you're saying the whole thing was fake and gay from the start?
Yes, absolutely.
No amount of bombs a CSG would throw at Houthis and no "permissible" amount of dead civilians/fighters would have stopped some cheeky Houthi facker from launching yet another drone against a defensless kike-owned container ship.

>targets that if destroyed would allow the US to win
You correctly said in an earlier post "there were no magic targets" in Yemen. In fact you just wrote above:
>Houthi movement lack a few critical centers that when destroyed will make the whole thing to halt and crumble

I already gave the answer away to another anon, so I'll summarize here. The OP was doomed a failure from the start because there was no ground component and no amount of targets the US could hit to force capitulation. Anyone writing "the US just didn't bomb them hard enough" is coping or delusional because it's impossible to "bomb harder" something you don't know IF it exists or WHERE it exists.

This also brings the political aspect into the question because each military action needs to have political offramps both in case of success and in case of failure. In this case the US political establishment did not prepare one for the "failure" case and instead just shrugged and swept the whole thing under the carpet. Had they done that work they would have chosen other approaches against the Houthis.

It seems like two different theaters though. It's very hard to stamp out Hamas because they're embedded into a densely populated urban area in ruins. So jews are obliged to do what they fear the most: boots on the ground with IFVs and APCs, which are highly vulnerable to ambushes. As for Syria, they can just fly sorties bombing the living shit out of their military assets. And they have effectively crippled much of what was left of Assad's army through airstrikes on weapons stockpiles.

Are you referring to carpet bombing?
Carpet bombing WHAT? Mountains? Yemeni cities?
I thought you said "no magic targets"))

Putting aside the bombing campaing for a moment, my biggest question is how was Iran supplying the Houthis? Or did the Houthis just quietly amass huge stockpiles? And if so, how did the Saudis allow that to happen when they are also in conflict with the Houthis?

The US doesn't need to force a capitulation to archive the strategic goals, all that is needed is to make Houthis stop attacking ships.

Agreed, but it's the US, it'll never grow over the hubris, the exceptionalism and do this.

A magic target is a target as it exists in modern US doctrine, something you hit with a precision weapon and the whole enemy collapses. There are plenty of targets the Houthis need to carry naval operations, and these can be destroyed. It'd be a tragedy, but it's not impossible.

>Putting aside the bombing campaing for a moment, my biggest question is how was Iran supplying the Houthis?
By sea and by land through Oman and Saudi Arabia.
>And if so, how did the Saudis allow that to happen when they are also in conflict with the Houthis?
The Saudi lost pretty much every single battle against Houthis since 2014, they are very incompetent and weak, it seems.

Houthis are primarily focusing in fighting in Yemen, and secondary on supporting Gaza. If somehow their resources are diminished, or if they are forced to commit more resources to Yemen, it will cause them to stop attacking ships.

Still, the whole point of this conversation is to show the very real limitations of USN, specially from a strategic point of view.

It's to discuss the limitations of the applications of military power and how (((our))) politicians are quick to think that "throwing a few bombs at it" will make any problem with "dirty thirdies" go away.

It's also a look at limitations and outright failures of American/Israeli intelligence and a complete fuckup that is the political thinking in USA. Like did none of those niggers ask themselves: "What are we going to do if the Houthis refuse to bend the knee?"

Orange farmers are having a meltdown, the government is very angry because it was justified with matters that doesn't concern the US, but otherwise we don't export much to begin with.

Going back to the start of this all, I don't think the USN is capable of defeating the North Korean Navy, assuming it's a defensive battle in the coast of North Korea. The same way it lacked the means to defeat Houthis.

I don't know all that much about this conflict, but I have a hard time imagining the Israeli's or Saudi's just agreeing to allow Ansarallah to rule a sovereign Yemen.

Solving the hostility with Ansarullah is in one sense quite easy, but could it be done while preserving the rest of the US policy in the region? No.

The US has enough leverage over Saudi Arabia to push for it, and this would benefit Israel directly.

>Solving the hostility with Ansarullah is in one sense quite easy, but could it be done while preserving the rest of the US policy in the region? No.
What I'll say is a bit wild, but you know what would be the ideal, the perfect, version of American policy in MENA? The one that bring the most benefits to the US, that project the most power, at the lowest cost? But it's impossible.

Dumping Israel, playing nice with Iran and the many-Sunni, placing itself as a mediator between the these two, doing trade with both. Taliban, Syria, Egypt, Jordan, Hezbollah, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Gulf states Ansar Allah... it'd be humanitarian, it'd empower the US a lot.

Bolsonaro is a lot like Trump, he's more a cuck than Lula, specially on foreign policy, corruption is pretty much the same, he's backed by Israeli loving Evangelicals and people who hates the left, if it was only the latter it'd be better, but it's the former calling the shots.

In part, because KPN fields a lot of submarines, in part because their navy if built to operate together with land forces on the coast. It's useless outside of that region, but quite strong there.

>The core of the Chinese navy are Type-52 and specially Type-55 destroyers focused on spamming missiles
I know. I think that whomever was behind the modernization of their navy did a brilliant job. Generally, when you look at history, you see that most navies prepare for future wars as if they would have to fight the last one again. You see this with the invention of the dreadnought and the dreadnought race before WWI and how much emphasis was placed on battleships after WWII. The war on the Pacific was shaped and decided by aircraft carriers, and now the US navy has more carriers than all other countries combined. I feel like those are extremely vulnerable to a mass attack of missiles and drones. Those wouldn't even need to be particularly advanced, as cheaper and older assets can and often do overwhelm more modern ones, as seen in Israel and Ukraine. The Chinese navy is better equiped for such a conflict.

Nigga you need to start sharing links of where you hear these rumors.
Tomahawks will never be sent for two reasons:
- They are nuclear-capable and thus a huge provocation to Russia.
- They are primarily launched from ships and while US did make a ground launcher for them it is very new (entered service in 2023) and very few exist.

Post a source for that rumor because that sounds like complete made up bullshit.

Why do we have to hate each other and kill each other with weapons that ayylmaos leak to us? What went wrong?

>Is "all surface vessels are obsolete" the new "tanks are obsolete" of the schizo-based online community?
A few points.
1. Military navy vessels are orders of magnitude more difficult and costly to produce than tanks.
2. They require way more crew.
3. They take way longer to deploy.
4. They take way longer to produce or replace.
5. They are all of remains of the military prestige of the jewnited states. Losing them to missiles while trying to chase updoots from losers on roddit and twatter would be devastating. Way more damaging than losing Abrahams tanks, which was pretty damaging in and of itself. If you lose a carrier to a missile you're fucking cooked.
6. They cannot be protected even from Kh-22 from the 60s, or Kh-31 antiship variant from the 90s or. Let along more modern anti-ship missiles like Onyx, lmfao.

It's a TEL for land-based Tomahawks and, yes, SM-6's. Basically it's 4 VLS cells with an erector stuffed into a cargo container.

I don't see that a radar is a planned part of the battery, though.
