Rabbis have, throughout history, deliberately instigated antisemitism within the host population, to prevent the scourge of assimilation. If the population hates you, then that gives the rabbis a good argument for their power. In other words, it does absolutely everything the jews need it to.

They need the antisemitism to be warm, but not too hot or they'll get burned.

Jews profit off the middleground. Either extreme would be terrible for them.

Actually this is a trend throughout most of politics, jews heavily prefer the middleground and would suffer with either extreme. The radical right would shut down their immigration strategy, the radical left would curtail Israel. They find their happy place in the middle.
