One of them may have been thoughtlessly fidgeting with the switches while briefly contemplating about something else and quietly tried flip the switches back on when the other pilot snapped him back to reality and realized what he did.

I think this is a real possibility. Captain SumeetSabharwal was reportedly planning early retirement to care for his elderly dad who apparently has dementia. His mum passed away in 2022. At 56 years old he is obviously an unmarried, jeet incel. Apparently he had a history of depression and has taken leave from flying in the past. Pilot flying (FO Clive Kunder) would have been focussed on his takeoff, he would have removed his hand from the thrust lever at V2, at V1 he obviously rotated correctly and subsequently flew the plane in such a way as to keep it airborne for as long as possible. Captain Sabharwal either deliberately flipped the fuel switches to cutoff with malicious intent (murder/suicide) or he had a pajeet brain fart and did it accidentally.

Like 50% of the threads here are about Indian caused mayhem. This is a a global crisis.
