It's kind of depressing if you think about it. It's akin to USA and Canada killing each other.

NATO baited Russia into a proxy war against itself. Russia called their bluff and jumped in anyways thinking they could wrap things up quick and make NATO look foolish.

Things didn't go as planned, and now Russia is battling Russia while the MIC feeds both sides directly in the case of ukraine and indirectly by fueling wars in the middle east which iran needs to make money to resist, and so sells weapons to Russia.

It's a bad spot to be in for Putin. NATO / europe loses nothing, since ukranians are slavic subhuman cannon fodder with zero value anyways.
