As a kid, I was always fascinated by weather. One of my science teachers had a cool chart of all the different types of clouds. She gave me it when I aced her class as a present.
Anyway, that is a thunderhead Cumulonimbus cloud. One of my favorite clouds to watch. If you're lucky, you can see trails of lightning run up and down it.
