You guys are aware of the big distinction in the media over the Epstein list and the "list".
There is a rolodex floating around from an old court case that shows all of his contacts, some of which are circled. This is supposed to be what the trump administration fears will be misconstrued, because it's a "generic list of his contacts" and you can't curate it without evidence.
Second is the colloquial "list", where we all mean the perps that he supplied kids to.
I think it's obvious Trump is in the second because I just realized this.
He is the messaging master. He can put out whatever message and his base with microphones runs out to push it out and back it.
If Trump really was only incidentally in the list by virtue of being a long time friend of Epstein's so "of course" he would be in there, then he would just tell his base that. He would say, "You know there's a rolodex floating out there they say is the list. it's not the list, it's a rolodex of all his business contacts so of course i'm in that! Pam is free to release whatever because i'm not on any "list"!!"
But he isn't, because he knows that if they dig further he WILL be implicated. it's obvious as day when you see it from that angle.
tldr: he's protesting so much not because he's on the already released rolodex, he could explain that away easily, but because he's on the real "list' we all mean
