Genteelisms, midwit rhetorical devices, etc.
If you're using these often, you are mangling communication and you should reconsider what you're actually trying to say. Nobody can read your mind.

>"almost"
>"never" (and of course: "almost never")
>"irregardless" instead of just saying regardless
>using "prior to" instead of just saying "before"
>"subsequent to" instead of "before"
>words that are the rhetorical equivalent of astrology such as:
>"culture"
>"society" (these two have valid uses, but pay attention to how most people use them, more often than not these words are just used to glibly conceal something that the writer is unable to articulate or elaborate upon)
>"(historical/ cultural/ societal) context"
>you also probably don't need to say "stumbled into"
