Are trailer parks as bad as people make them out to be or can they be quite comfy?

Theyโ€™re honestly more high end in a lot of places. I grew up in one and it was not a lot different than any other residential. Maybe even safer.

These actors lived in my city (Edmonton) and the one they were at seemed a lot worse than mine. I actually played pool with Mr lahey once at a bar thatโ€™s no longer around called the strat

My nana lived in one. It was great, but this was back in the 90s when it was still White. Now it's like "Wanna live in your van on a lot 40 feet away from the most broken methed out retards and spics you can imagine?

The answer of course being: I still can't afford it, but here goes nothing.

Look man. I don't recommend suburban life. That shit was invented by a jew.

Most are shitty, some are basically regular but low-income neighborhoods. I guess the shitty ones could be comfy with the right mindset, like if you're a young single guy who's strapped all the time and wanting a new trashy adventure every week. If you're a kid growing up in one, or elderly and barely hanging on to your retirement, or even just a regular family with no money, they're pretty bad. At best, it's a regular shitty neighborhood. At worst, this is the week that somebody finally fires off a gun and hits you or your family, or a tornado hits the park and kills you and everybody else, or several other constant threats.

Assuming you aren't living in a community where 90% of the people there are alcoholics or junkies, I imagine it must be quite nice.

I lived in one for a bit. It was overall cozy. The 4/10 lady next door invited me over every Saturday to watch This Old House while she sucked my dick. Her macaroni salad was top shelf.

They can be comfy and they can be a place you don't want to be just like nigger ghettos, it really depends. Some trailer parks are full of rich old people, some are full of tweakers on ssdi.

yeah that sounds depressing to be honest, tornadoes are more of the threat in my neck of the woods. Sucks that there aren't more alternatives to housing that isn't living like a bugman in a pod, living in niggerville or a trailerpark.

Canon member of sunnyvale here. There's been multiple parks over the years, 2-3 from seasons 1-3, season 4-7 was one they built themselves behind the building that they used as the jail, the back side was painted light blue to match the sky, and then for the netflix seasons they filmed in Bible Hill estates which is sorta shitty desu, I was there a few times during filming and hung out with lahey the year before he passed away, super nice dude too.

I grew up near a trailer park and some of my friends were there, many of the residents are either old people or poor single mothers and druggies

We were sitting by his wife while his kids ran around, they're hyper af and curse a lot lol but his wife is chill and she told us he's actually allergic to cats, and he wasn't a prick per say, but I've heard the same and he definitely has his guard up, rob wells and JP are super nice though, they almost smoked some hash I made but if I went to the car we woulda had to leave (my ex at the time didn't wanna be there and had a headache lol). Sarah and Jeanna Harrison (trinity) were also super nice and chill, trinity offered me beers from the cooler and it was my first time trying their beer lol

They're like anywhere else where your experience depends on your neighbors. The issue you have in trailer parks is that your neighbors are very, very close and the trailers themselves don't have much sound insulation.

If you have loud neighbors, you really don't have any way to get away from them. If you have neighbors with an aggressive dog, that dog will be there every time you walk outside. If your neighbor is a pedophile, he's going to be sneaking peaks at your 14 year old daughter whenever he can.

The final issue you'll have is if you have a bad landlord. It's rare to own the land that the trailer is on, so even though you own the home you still need to pay rent. Some landlords are cool and will help you out if you have a problem neighbor like above. Others are ching chong chinamen living on the other side of the world who raise your rent every year by the maximum allowable by law because hey, fuck you, it's so expensive to move the trailer that it's cheaper to just abandon it than to try to move.

If you end up in a good trailer park its a great way to live cheaply. If you end up in a bad one it's a super high stress nightmare that you're more or less locked into.

Private equity is buying up the mom and pop run trailer parks because they see unrealized value they can squeeze out of the residents for the reasons you stated. Same is happening with single family home rentals. They know how much they can raise the rent to keep you from bothering with moving or to get rid of you if the area has become more valuable recently. Small time landlords can be bad but with private equity landlords, you're guaranteed to be squeezed to the max. There's no chance of a good private equity landlord.
