It's been that way for a generation, so the 18-year-olds who voted left 20 years ago are now significantly more conservative. 18-year-olds vote based on peer pressure and public school, and the left knows that they can get to 16-year-olds even easier.

I'm a fascist and absolutely support 16 year olds voting, if anything there should be an upper limit to voting. BUT, obviously with the understanding that voting should be restricted to members of the same ethnic group. Which is obviously not the case in the UK and this will just worsen things.

PS. I would even go so far as to say many of the problems of today especially pertaining to young people like the mental health crisis is due to society being run by and for boomers. For example in Finland the right-wing government has made cuts to education and student benefits, whilst not daring to touch pensions. This leads young people to feel like they are not part of society, not wanted, and it makes them feel like there is no future. 16 year olds will live another 60 years, boomers will die in the next 10 years.
