Tsar Bomba Test Fireball

Russia has the most nuclear weapons (not even counting INDIVIDUAL warheads, in which case it's much more), hundreds more than America. China has the 3rd most, and the difference between Russia and america's nukes is more than china's total individual warheads. And that's not even counting Russia's nukes in reserve/planning to be decommissioned or on standby.

Russia's nukes also have far higher yields. Most Russian nukes are in the Multi-Megaton range, as opposed to the several hundred-single megaton ranges of the US.

Pic Rel is from the UR-500 series of nukes, the most powerful ever built, more than twice as powerful as the Tsar Bomba, at 101.5 MT.

Russia also uses nearly no decoys in their ballistics, SLBMs and ICBMs. almost fully loaded with warheads, as opposed to the us only using upto 3, and the rest decoys per missile.

in terms of PURE DESTRUCTION, the ability to DESTROY MOST OTHER countries and their militaries on Earth, no matter how "advanced" they are, or if Aliens/AI were to invade the world, Russia is the most formidable for, by a significant margin.

China is far ahead of Russia. The amount spent on maintaining those nuclear weapons matters more than owning the weapons. Per nuclear weapon, China spends more on maintenance than both the US and Russia.

Most nukes are in the 100 to 800 kt range. Megaton weapons make up a tiny number of the overall stockpile because they're unnecessary. An ICBM with 4x 800 kt nukes is more effective. If you wanted to kill millions in New York but leave as little radiation as possible, that's the case for an airburst megaton bomb, but cities like New York aren't common.

flaggot and pole. Putin's personal piggy bank is almost a trillion in gold assets, and they didn;t have to start any nuclear programme since they inherited it all from the USSR and got the rest from ukraine. you can;t really be this retarded. MATERIEL matters. not money. the MANHATTAN PROJECT and R&D/starting over cost billoins. not upkeep and increasing stock/standard testing. with your logic North Korea, India and Pakistan could never have done it.

>>510624574
No, most russian nukes are in the several multi megaton range. the ideal yield/weight ratio for large scale city/structure destruction in a war per sheckel is in the 1.5-5 megaton range. more than that and it's a waste, hence why TSAR bombs aren;t really a thing.
800kt is still survivable and weak tho, most cities would recover.

magic/fantasy KEKS can;t into basic maths and physics. at the moment of detonation, in the first picosedonds of a fusion reaction when the first or second stages are reflected back into the second or third chambers, the temperature is the hottest thing in the universe. second only to the big bang itself. we're talking hotter than Hypernovea, quasars, colliding supermassive black holes... by orders of magintude. the only thing hotter that we managed to achieve is in CERN.

>Russian nukes

lmao

The entire Russian military budget is the same as the US nuclear budget. 70-80% of those nukes are most likely out of order due to the extreme cost of maintaining nukes (such as replacing the tritium cores.) On top of there aren't enough delivery mechanisms (such as ICBM) for all the nukes either way and these also needs to be maintained. Haven't even accounted for the blatant corrupting but all these things will fall on deaf zigger ears. Only shitskins will believe this D tier propaganda.

The corrupt, alcoholic Russian generals in charge of the nuclear missiles honestly believed that their missiles never will be launched, and for years the West has been ringing the alarm that they have been selling dual use items on the black market. A good number of Russia's nukes will fail to launch because the hydrazine has been sold out of their propellant tanks. On others the nuclear warhead may arm but due to Soviet engineering and Russian-tier upkeep, some will probably detonate in their silos. Of the ones that do arm and launch, many will fail to reach their destination, or be meaconed off course, or have navigational failures and fall far short of their goal somewhere within Russian territory. 99% of the ones that make it to the West will be shot down by Western anti-missile systems because we've gotten really good at that. The ones that do arrive on target and make it past the defenses, some of them will fail to detonate. Russia would be damn lucky to have 2 target strikes in the first go round.

Meanwhile that strip of land between Moscow and Saint Petersburg would be saturated with the most powerful nuclear weapons the West has to offer. 15% of the population, 45% of the nation's wealth and over half the military's command and control structure will be vaporized in a matter of hours. For hundreds of years, Russians will be ashamed to say who they are and where they're from.

Russia's ancient Soviet nukes require thousands of kilos of the Tritium radioactive isotope. Tritium costs $34,000 per gram, so it is expensive to replace. It only has a half life 12.3 years, so every dozen years Moscow is spending a fortune on keeping its nukes viable. The absence of even basic Russian body armor, despite mass production, can only be attributed to Russian endemic corruption, and so there is no reason to expect that corruption will not affect everything, including the Russian nuclear arsenal.
