You can claim to know certain laws of physics because you've observed it and tested it billions of times, and yet you can NEVER fully assert that these laws have always and will always operate the same way; unless you are an eternal and omnipresent observer, who is also omnipotent to be able to observe all of those processes throughout eternity.
Once you have faith in that God, you then have a justification and epistonelogical grounding for believing in things that cannot be proven empirically, such as the fact that words have meaning, the principle of identity, laws of logic, etc..
An atheist, when justifying his empirical-based claims, will always have to appeal to empiricism in an infinite regress, which begs the question and doesn't provide a justification at all.
