>>510636493>Who the fuck do Democrats even have for 28?I was thinking about this a while ago. The only way the Democrats even have a chance at winning in 2028 is if they nominate Barack Obama for an actual 3rd term, and that's really not a guaranteed win. Obama would win on nostalgia, perceived gravitas/respectability as an elder statesman, and name recognition. Still, there is no getting past the fact that tje "no drama Obama" style of technocratic governance felt ineffectual and out-of-touch with the real concerns of the voters. That is why 2016 gave us Bernie Sanders (populism on the left) and Donaid Trump (populism on the right): people were sick and tired of moderates/centrists of the two-party duopoly that had dominated politics since at least the 1980s. People were sick of globalization, wars, the post 911 paradigm, and the financial sector. But, hey, let's just shove race, gender, and identity in everyone's faces to make politics normal again with a superficial faggot-ass culture war. Am I right?
>Buttigieg Unapologetic intelligence officer and technocrat who worked for McKinsey
>AOCLiterally controlled opposition figure within the Democrat Party whose image was engineered to make populist leftists look stupid, frivolous, and incapable of addressing the concerns of voters
>Gretchen WhitmerCovid-19 era dictator cunt
>Gavin NewsomExemplar of why people are fleeing California
>Corey BookerFormer rising star. The New Jersey edition of John Fetterman, but he's deep in the closet. Gay, not that there's anything wrong with that. It's just awkward to still be in the closet in this day and age. Plus, he's an unapologetic corporate Democrat
>Ritchie torresMight actually get some traction with the base, but no real broad appeal nationally. He's just great with campaign contributors, like AIPAC
