Even if we count Somalians, EVERY nonwhite group except whites has an issue with Israel over Palestine. The MI Dem party leadership now openly acknowledges this, because they lost and could lose the entire state government if the brown people don't turn out. Of the white voters, it's about split and largely comes down to religion. Unsurprisingly, roman catholics have problems with Israel whereas Evangelicals and most Protestants aggressively support Israel.
This has become a major and growing problem since Biden refused to stop all aid to Israel. It's why Biden had to pause ammunition shipments and build Port Biden, both endeavors which failed just like his campaign. Democrats have noticed this because they lost.
It hasn't gotten up into the national party platform debate, yet. Emphasis "yet" because, as any Michigan Democrat will tell you, the Iraqi and Afghan refugees that poured in from 2008 onwards are increasingly obtaining Citizenship and the right to vote. Their numbers are growing. By 2032 all the Biden Afghans will be voters. They will absolutely vote on Palestine, and for this reason Israel is panicking now trying to steal everything before the door shuts. This is the real growing threat, and it's increasingly felt everywhere in Wayne County, Detroit, Pontiac and Lansing.
It takes 3% of a population to swing a government on any specific issue. Michigan is at 2% and climbing.
