Zeihan has a PhD, is the author of like 3 new york times best selling book, has worked as the vice president of a multi-million dollar intelligence consulting agency before, has implied that he worked for the CIA before, regularly gives talks to CEO and heads of state. He's not some random literally who youtuber, you fucking abortions, this guy is legit. And he has always said, since 2005 that he expects China to collapse by 2030, not in 6 months.
Also, he's not the only one, there's literally hundreds of experts that also agree that China is gonna collapse soon. Also also, he has made dozens of correct predictions. If he says that China is fucking done for, China is fucking done for. Just wait until 2030, you will fucking see.

Depoliticization of Russians was TOO effective -- it allowed oligarchs to completely capture the economy and extract almost all value and the citizenry was sufficiently alienated from the process that it fell into despair and escapism. The war's greatest success has been in revitalizing national sentiment and this was its real goal -- not the capture of Ukraine.
The world at large is on a war footing and unless the humanists somehow manage to win out, a greater systemic war seems unavoidable at this point.

I equate it to like chess when you are playing a kid who tries to calculate a few moves ahead, but only considers what he thinks is his opponents best move. Opponent may have several move options and he if picks one you weren't thinking about then all the rest of the forward calculation is blown.
PZ is constantly saying X is happening to country Z, therefore A->B->C will happen, with C being the big prediction of something terrible. But country Z knows X is happening, so country Z does what it has to, to make sure A doesn't happen and if A does happen it doesn't lead to B and then C.
PZ has great Analysis of China and their demographics, he just misses the very obvious part that China does not want to collapse and will therefore do whatever is necessary to not..
