I've traveled all across the world and I can say with 100% confidence the races that make the tastiest foods are the Mediterraneans and the Latinx's. It doesn't even come close.

The Nords/Scandinavians etc have good hotdogs and beer but that's about it. Eastern European cuisine is just as depressing and tasteless as the people that live there. The Brits conquered the world for sugar and spices, but can only cook the most cursed slop imaginable.

Italian food is HIGHLY over rated. Food looks good but is underwhelming.

Japanese has hardly any variation and when you do try something different its weird shit like horse meat or goose.

yeah, i agree on that, but maybe it's because we grew up eating regular pizzas. the thing i didn't like about italy is it was too crowded with tourists wherever you go and the whole economy was oriented toward tourist buck, overcharging for every little shit. i guess in some small places where only locals go there could be better food (it's usually so in tourist countries)

Japanese food itself is great, but what impressed me the most about Japanese food when I visited was how well they cooked cuisine from other cultures. Some of the best pizza and italian food I've had was in Japan, some of the best espresso as well and really fucking good cheeseburgers. They really value good technique and high quality ingredients. Plus the cheap ass food you get in the 7/11 or family mart was good as hell.

I haven't been in Italy in 8-9 years. Are you talking about italian ingredients sold in your country or food in Italy? When I was there I had great food. Wasn't even in the food hub cities.

I'm not a big pasta fan but Barilla always sucked. I'm friends with a greek family that makes olive oil and I buy from them but when I run out I've tried that De Ceco which is Italian and it's not bad at all for the price.
