>>510656995yeah i know, stuff like this always looks retarded to every one else who isn't into it. i just understand the mentality because i was into a few of these kinds of dangerous activities in my teens and twenties....until about 32 as i think about it. its about gaining mastery, facing the challenge, pushing the limits, all that kind of thing. i kind of respect him being fit enough to keep doing this stuff into his mid 50s but perhaps he should have been looking after his kids/grandkids etc and maybe stopped with the super risky stuff.
anyway, he went out doing what he loved i guess. probably had a great hike to the summit of some beautiful Alp, saw the best view on earth then got to feel the plunge off the top one last time before likely dying pretty quickly of a heart attack. not such a bad way to go.
