It's not that difficult. Dems don't actually want the files released because they've got names all over them too. It's just posturing. Since Trump is Trumping, they get to make it look like he's blocking everything. If for some reason Republicans were about to release the files (which wouldn't happen because that party's just as rotten, but if it did) and Dems could block them, you better believe all the sudden they'd be saying "it's too dangerous" or some bullshit.
