The only way they might be released is if some snowden type released them. But it wouldn't surprise me if a significant portion of the files were already destroyed

Why was he all for the files being released prior to his election? Did he not know he was in them? If he did know, how could he not expect people to be upset when he said he'll do something that big and then not do it?
