My grandfather who grew up in the country was talking about how the average household had about 8 children where he lived. Nobody wants to have 8 kids these days. These things killed it - being enticed to move to the city, busyness, technology, high prices, low income. Basically everything modern. This has been all planned and systematic.

If I had inherited my great grandfather's farm I'd fill it with children.
My great grandfather grew popcorn for JollyTime.
He had a huge farm with a modest brick house to live in.
He divided it among his 4 children, but not equally.
My aunt had borrowed money form him that was never paid back, so my grandfather was left the financial amount minus the amount my aunt owed him.
My great aunt and 2 great uncles divided that land.
My grandfather drank most of his inheritance and my father got nothing from him.
I bought a 2 bedroom 1 bath in 2015 and put 3 kids in it.
I don't have room for more.
