I've only met a couple of people with Down syndrome. I would say they're the most loving, most humane people there are. Pure kindness. Angels, as opposed to clinical psychopaths (demons). Sometimes I think this world would be a better place if we all had down syndrome. They seem genuinely happy. We might progress at a much, much slower rate, but we would be happy and not afraid of our fellow man. Homo homine lupus

They're like Sisyphus, they find pleasure in the little things (e.g., being useful), and that gives their lives meaning. And fortunately for them, I don't think they're affected by existential issues

There are plenty of jaded downs people, they are the ones usually screaming and moaning because they are just conscious enough about life’s problems and realize they can’t cope normally, the guys in this cafe were pampered all their life and delusional.
