No divine overlord, no eternal reward, just the immediacy of reality as it is, luminous in its suchness. You don’t “believe,” you practice, and that practice is the realization that your clinging to self, meaning, and salvation is the problem. Christianity demands submission. Buddhism invites awakening. Which one sounds like a path for adults?

Buddhism made a mistake when it excluded god as part of its teaching. The primordial deity of absolute emptiness gives everything they want with less effort. It can cleanse you of gavvah and bring inner peace, you will not be owned by hatred or boredom or any mental pain under its protection. People are weak, you can't achieve much alone
