Why would I bump a thread that is gaining no traction? Your thread has better chance of surviving by just making a new one, thats how the board works with the constant 24/7 bot spam.

Because when you make a new thread it instantly goes to page 1 for a short period of time. When you bump an old thread it only goes to page 1 for an even shorter amount of time unless someone else bumps it with you. Only after several bumps from several different IPs does it stay on page 1. You see, the bots encourage more spam to get through the bot spam.
