My mom was based / probably autistic and took me to gun shows a low. When I picked up a Nazi Youth Dagger and said how cool it was she gave me a hi-five but said it was a bit too expensive to buy me, so the old blue eyes boomer just gave it to me and said "Keep the lessons to heart."

I kept it for 30 years till my house got robbed. Did not care about any jewelry / stuff taken (besides wanting to hang whoever did it) but the Nazi youth dagger was the saddest loss.

the teacher emailed all of the parents and said “hey we’re doing elf on a shelf, if anyone has an issue with it though let me know”

our literally jewish neighbor yenta initially said it was fine in an email and then a week later reported the teacher for antisemitism to the state board

later when she told my wife, she said she “sat and thought about it for awhile and decided she wasn’t okay with it and had to do something!”
