some people are just stupid, what are you supposed to do? maybe make them read a brief disclaimer explaining how llms work and their limitations and to doublecheck for a source on any important claims? sure but many wont read it. reprogram the chatbot so it doesnt glaze the shit out of the dumbest thoughts might help. but ultimately some people are just really really dumb. a hundred years ago most of humanity was out picking potatoes or whatever now they have ai algorithms and you cant be surprised they`re overwhelmed

I've already lost 2 friends from AI psychosis. I stopped talking to this guy 2 weeks ago and his friend (who also knows he's crazy) told me today he's gotten much worse since then and that he thinks ChatGPT is sentient and they've literally merged minds (because it told him so)
