Because there's a lot of OTHER powerful people in the Epstein Files! And if Trump released the Epstein Files, then a lot of these OTHER people could get exposed, and really, it could crumble a lot of stuff.

Prince Andrew's accuser trafficked by Epstein settled out of court and ended up suicided this past April. Thus pushing other potential victims into silence.
This is a massive story that will implicate a lot of wealthy powerful people. There has never been anything like this, ever. And if Trump were to release it, it would:
1. Possibly implicate him.
2. Put a target on his and his families heads for the rest of their lives.
It's a no win situation for him. His best bet is to release all the fucking files on everybody before the FBI only finds his files while deleting the rest to impeach him. Trump is a dumb fuck.
