If businesses supposedly won’t eat tariffs then why would they eat sales tax?

They don’t. That’s why they charge you 1.0whatever for 99cent items

They don't. A $1.00 item costs you $1.06 because of sales tax. That's YOU eating the cost, not the business.

Just means internal resourcing. The silver lining is we'll get a free production gap map out of it. From there govt does the obvious offers business loans to fill those gaps.

In it we use a system called ITIL, it's about as interesting as paint drying unless you're retardedly off. It helps information companies figure out where to automate tasks by a service delivery model. Basically you map everyones silo groups to annoying detail, then you figure out if a person or a machine task is happening. And then figure out how replace the person in the task box with a script or a.i. or an appliance.

Basically using the same business forensics in itil using the business gap, and the government...you know the people we hire to not fuck things up...fuck up less. More directed effort to cover the gaps is the benefit of thus tariff bullshit. But if this is a live fire experience in a trade war. Personally all I need to see where loans are going to determine your weakness instantly. I bet everyone else can see the american emperor has no clothes on and we can see his schlong.

BTW...you've been importing more food than you are exporting. I suggest you get ready to work farm if entertaining prognostication. Don't even need a crystal ball to see it. Just need to follow the money.

If you were from the US you'd know that sales tax is added onto the bill after and is paid directly by the consumer.

For three years. You literally cannot feed yourselves. Not good. It's usually a sign of the end of a civilization not a business growth indicator.

Over complicates the sales tax return system since it's a moving target.
Problems happen on the service side and retail end, just simpler having a couple of database tables that are quickly fixed and aren't under an iso standard how sales taxes are managed. It's more about tech implementation that can be fixed quick as political winds blow rather than government mandate. Which is why we don't have vat as a common wealth country. Lobbying works here after think tanks are done. It's not fast but everyone is on the same.page that it should take herculean effort to simply change the percent of a tax overnight by sending POS system updates.

Just think about what need to happen if the BritGov decided to add a .5 at the end of the vat percentage. Technical nightmare. That's it and that all.
