Explain how this works when billionaires can just move their wealth to a tax haven in the Bahamas. Provide any possible mechanism for redistribution other than taxation. Because they WILL get around the tax, they can afford to hire lobbyists and lawyers and accountants.

I’m not against equity I’m against bad ideas that will backfire.

It's more a failure of human nature and its own intrinsic flaws that it is a problem with communism. Communism not working highlights our own greed, lust for power and control, and our insatiable need of wanting more. Humans are thr failure not communism. Communism is a perfect system meant for perfect beings.

There is no mechanism of redistribution that will not be painful. Taxes, revolution, civil war, economic collapse, resource limits, etc. Honestly, taxes are the best option.

Forcefully taxing the rich probably less painful that you believe.

Changing the rates is best accompanied by reforms and closing tax loopholes, yes.

Nevertheless, the gigantic tax cuts favoring the very wealthy have, in fact, resulted in reduced tax income and ballooning deficits, so clearly tax rates do something.

Communism use to work in hunter gatherer tribes of our ancient past. When family and community mattered most.

The insane focus of hyper individualism has caused us to be disconnected from community and made us sad and depressed.

We have drifted away from the core values that served human beings survival for hundreds of thousands of years.

The problem is that the state running things is less efficient than it being private which makes it uncompetitive, which means they don't make money, and when they don't make money it's on the government to foot the bill or in other words the taxpayer which then goes on to hurt the economy so the government gets less tax revenue to prop up these failing industries and it all spirals down until you're going cap in hand to the IMF.

The bailouts were because the banks were deemed too important to the country at large to be allowed to fail. If a bank goes under then people's money goes with it. There was also talk that they should have been allowed to fail anyway because saving them was expensive and the burden fell onto the taxpayer for years and years after which may have caused more harm than if they had been allowed to fail.

Banks can get fucked. Renewed my mortgage the other day and we went over all the fees. There are so many bullshit fees it's insane. There will be a $200 for closing the mortgage when it gets paid off even. As if they didn't make a massive amount of money off me already the entire time and just for the hell of it there will be another $200 to do something that we both know they will always need to do eventually as part of the process. They can get fucked. If someone Luigis their entire board I won't feel bad.

>Where do they leave to anon? Can they just uproot their entire maga factories and ship them all to tiny tax havens in the Bahamas?

Oh man, you actually don't understand economics do you?

Firstly, it's not a *they* thing. Wealth is transient.

Secondly, our purchases and investments are what will leave for overseas. When you raise corporate taxes, income taxes etc... you make it more expensive to produce a product, including by increasing costs for wage earners. This forces firms to raise prices to compete--they need to make enough to cover their costs.

So, people start looking for alternatives--this is the story of outsourcing to China. We had labor unions and living costs and taxes in the United States while China and India had poor slave labor. So, money flooded overseas to mint new factories in China etc...

You want to fix everything? Get rid of the millions of free-riding blacks and browns sucking our economy dry and destroying our society. Go back to a white, prosperous, utopian West and everyone is living in a house, with a wife and in good health.
