If you don't enjoy dandori you are literally not white. Very satisfying to optimize your runs to be as fast as possible in 1, 3 (mission mode included), and 4.

Also, spicy spray has ruined the game balance since 2. Everyone talks about how broken purples were, but spicy spray never got nerfed like they did. It's maybe acceptable in challenge mode as a unique resource to manage, but it's just too easy to get 10 sprays a day and be able to murder everything in the game.

And just like irl, the "enslaved" populations are in a much better position by the end of the game (in the good ending at least), but all of the infrastructure and progress is completely wiped out in just a short amount of time in the absence of the leader (the state that you find the pikmin in 2 and also 3). Also pikmin were borderline extinct at the start of the series; maybe a double digit population within the region that you explore.

XII, by contrast, steers largely clear of most of the interpersonal drama, but you'll either love or hate the license board and gambit systems. the HD remaster is super fucking gay, if you can cop an OG disc or rom for the ps2 it's 1000x better.
