They absolutely do. That’s why you should use a search engine like Yandex. Not only is it more useful, but you also won’t have to worry about incessant privacy breaches. Always be mindful of what you search on Google as it is saved like a digital tattoo and is used to profile you and create a digital fingerprint. Don’t post search for that could be used to build a profile on you or incriminate you. If you’re not mindful of privacy and opsec in 2025, then NGMI.

ISP's caching user activity is known but German govt. does more, whats known as "IP-Catching" so it gets all IP's connecting to whatever site/resource eg. 4chan.
This isn't legal but authorities allowed themselves to do it, they don't talk about it, media doesn't ask, and the only time its been mentioned it is in connection with catching pedos. They will not say how often agencies use it.

tbf when they expand Palantier (aka VeRA in Bayern rn) nationwide its the least of your privacy problems, and that is on the agenda for this government

yes, 100% they do
and bing
and duckduckgo
duckduckgo actually shills on 4chan, then when you start posting embarrassing search queries, they "clean" up the results in real time
I've caught them doing this personally

btw, ddg also logs IPs and when you have spot you posting embarrassing queries, they monitor your queries and remove results by the time you can post them
they are very active on 4chan
i switched over to brave because ddg glows so hard and brave still has bangs
I'm sure brave monitors too, but they are le ebil bigots, so they don't get as much (((funding))) for that activity in my estimation

Computer forensics guy here. If youre signed in to Google on your browser, yes, every search is recorded. Your searches are also recorded in your browser's history DB. Glowies don't need to do anything special really.

Yes, but it will only ever be used against you if you do something illegal, and they arrest you.
So if you don't have anything to hide, you shouldn't worry.
