Why do we even still allow humans to fly planes? Literally 100% of it can be automated. Everything pilots do today is pure scripted procedure that’s exactly the same for every single flight. There’s no reason humans should be doing something that a computer can do more accurately than them. You just need someone on board for the almost nonexistent chance that something goes wrong and he has to take over.

A jet engine is like a torch inside a hurricane.
The moment you turn the fuel switch off the flame goes out and won't come back on again.
And you can't re-ignite until the airflow has slowed down enough.
