>>510812825 (OP)I want to buy the cheap plot of land along the beach in a flood risk area and build a beach cottage, the idea is to commit highway robbery with vending machines and Airbnb. I did the cost and it would cost 30-40k to build. The floor plan consist of 500 square feet of decking and a 200 squarefoot studio apartment with an attic crawl space for batteries and a water tank for rain collection.
It would have 3- 4 kw of solar panels with 8-13 batteries. 2 vending machines, a washer dryer combo, and a shower/bathroom stall on the base floor with a ground pump and septic system in the front away from the water table. A kitchenette galley with a sink and prep table.
The idea is that one could wake up, make coffee, and watch wild horse as the sun rises along the beach. Then a person can fish the surf for seatrout. When the house is not in use, it serves as a beach access for people to use the vending machine in a secluded part of the beach, 5-6 miles away from the nearest grocery store. The structure would allow for it to survive high surf, and during high winds the solar panels can be stored in the attic.
