Epstein is connected to Israel, this is why Trump is covering it up. He doesn't want to risk the political fallout for Israel when people realize all of Epstein's clients were blackmailed and used as Israeli assets (including Trump himself).

Epstein was also associated with the Wexner Foundation, which supports Jewish leadership and has ties to Israel.
