>>510844315>We might be just using different grading criteriaI'm just looking by popularity of literally where they rank at music festivals, or when there are several bands on one tour, who's opening for who, etc.
Plenty of my favorite bands, if they're even still around, that were hot shit all over MTV2 or whatever back in the day are now basically like D-listers and can't even afford a tour bus anymore it's back to a shitty van with a rickety u-haul trailer.
>Did you listen to Hatebreed before they started to gain popularity, with albums that would just keep going downhill like everyone else?I think I caught onto to them just as they were signed to Universal with
>NOW IS THE TIME >FOR ME TO RISE>TO MY FEETbeing played all over MTV, obviously I really enjoyed that album and then started looking backwards at their older albums, but by the time their next album came out in like 2004 or something I noticed it was going downhill yeah.
For some reason Disturbed is another band who had that banger of a first album, and then immediarely pivoted to radio buttrock. Somehow they're one of the bigger numetalish bands still around in terms of popularity.
