Because it's generally accepted that most people fucking hate nazis. The nazis were well documented during the war committing all kinds of atrocities. Granted, the Japs and the Soviets did pretty much the same atrocities and then some, and with the same frequency. But Japan is well loved now and libshits love communism now so it's a harder sell.
Personally I'd love to see more cold-war era films seeing commies getting shred to pieces by glorious american lead, but there's been a dearth of that since the cold war ended.
