I think maybe the reason my life sucks is that there is no higher purpose in it. Growing up my boomer parents seemed to have no higher purpose than "enjoying life". That might have been enough for them, but it's not enough for me, and that's why my life sucks, because the higher purpose hasn't been revealed yet.
