Some anons on /biz/ are trying to determine the idfs wages they make as part of a discussion towards the Israeli military's business and financial habits
So far the best estimate is that they make a little under 12k a year for service. No one has refuted this, so as is its the best ghess.
I'd like to extend this topic. Politically, what are the implications of the IDF being poor? I mean seriously, is that the secret to their success? They just keep their own citizens dirt poor? I'm pretty sure most of Israel's real money comes from legal and crypto scams as well as looting. Why do the average idf members make so little? What are they fighting for, poverty tier wages in the west?
