they're goy squatters who live in territory that given to the the twelve tribes of Israel by G-d. Sunni extremists because their region takes bits of Judaism and the other two false "Abraham" religions. historically they've been Syrian aligned, even the ones in reclaimed parts of Golan; they intially took the side fighting for the government during the civil war but changed sides to ally with anti-government forces.
