Arguably, Latinos are a form of hapa, since they’re generally a cross between spaniards (mostly european genetics, with a sprinkle of nafri/hebrew); overwhelmingly caucasoid) and amerindians (a branch of the mongoloid race). so you could argue that Mexico has an extremely high proportion of hapas in an expanded definition that isn’t tied to recent east asian-european contact
