Note that it took hundreds of millions of years of evolution and billions of years of Earth's existence until abiotic genesis happened before an intelligent species (humans) formed. The age of Earth is already almost half the age of the entire universe. Thousands if not millions of coincidences had to align in order for us to exist, which is why it took so long. When you consider the timeline and the factors involved, there could be a real possibility that either 1) humans are actually the only INTELLIGENT life forms in the universe, or 2) there have existed other intelligent life in the universe but they were exceedingly sparse, and with how vast the universe's timeline is, almost all of them have gone extinct due to various existential crises before our existence.
The fact is that we really don't know exactly how 'lucky' we are to have evolved as we are. It's easy to think that the universe has much more intelligence given how vast it is compared to Earth, but consider how humans are 1 in a billion among every species that has ever existed. For all we know, our existence could've been much earlier than a hypothetically perfect statistical model would predict, given the sparseness of habitable planes in the universe and factors involved in genesis.

So I got there, parked my car on the road and climbed a hill to see how the area looked. I could hear dirtbikes/atvs in the far distance, nothing else. After like 30 seconds I had to go pee so I did, then continued looking at the lake bed to see where I could set up(lots of trees/bushes had grown in it). I had been on the hill for several minutes when 3 gunshots rang out, less than 200 yards away I'd guess, and the last one went over my head with a loud WHOOSH sound. I ran down the hill, got in my car and left immediately, after the fear wore off I'd assumed it was someone else just practice shooting in my direction. It was only several hours later when I recalled what had happened before(no other gunfire), with no sounds being made the whole time I'd been in that area, that I realized I'd been watched the whole time and someone was trying to shoot me. The firearm was likely a pistol, there was no supersonic crack, but had it been a rifle with a red dot, I might not have made it out alive. I never saw anyone or heard anything to signify a presence the entire time. This is the terror of a dark forest, you never know when or where you'll come across danger, or when you're being watched. Or how else would the author be able to tell the story of trisolaris if the aliens were able to conceal their thoughts? Why would an alien race tell humans their own evolutionary history?
Also, nowhere it is mentioned in the main trilogy how trisolaran economy is structured. So we dont know about their property rights or the lack thereof.

In the end the symbolism in the novel is very clear. Earth is China, aka backwards but with potential, and Trisolaris is the alien predator aka a combination of Japan and the Imperialist West in general, who seek to conquer more abundant and safer lands as well as to suppress the technological progress of China (as seen IRL with Chinese tech sanctions).

Also, the existence of alien collaborators and pro-alien sentiments is a reference to the pro-democracy/pro-western groups in China like Falun Gong, who may be right in a moral sense, but are fundamentally stupid because they are inviting invasion to their home.
