AI took their jobs and will come after tons of white collar work first. Look at Software engineering, the gold standard of high pay and guaranteed employment a decade ago, now most of these jobs are AI typing up the code/macros/scripts/subroutines and the jobs left are integrating those packages together into a final product. But if I had needed 20 programmers then, now five really top notch ones will suffice.

I think Indians have become the scapegoat now, but i don't think that's the issue. The job market is complete trash right now, you enter the job market looking for a first job and they're all asking for prior work experience even for an entry level position - in a field that requires a degree, at least, for shitty jobs you can just lie. The reason i don't think immigration is the main problem is: it's happening everywhere. You can ask third worlders like myself, europeans, everyone who's in their 20's and 30's will tell you that it's impossible to get a decent job without someone recommending you for the position.
Maybe it's because the economy isn't growing as much as it did before, so companies are not trying to expand and risk their already shitty house of cards, i don't know.
Maybe there's no one cause, maybe it's everything combined.

I'd be fine with working for minimum wage as a foreigner, what pisses me off is to get fucked in my own country. I've looked into programs that try to get people to work in Germany, they are legit but you need to be almost fluent in German (which is fair), but it's a really tough language to master.
