But it's all too fucking unreal. I'm guessing right now, 1.8 million Ukrainian casualties (assuming three years of war at the same intensity) at a minimum. That of course assumes fucking conscripts with a couple of weeks of training can fight as well as professional soldiers, and that Ukraine fights as well as the US did during operation Iraqi freedom, and its hospitals have never been overwhelmed at all. These assumptions of mine are already delulu, so anything less is absurd. But talk of millions dead still unnerves me, because of how at ease I am

Also, Prigozhin himself claimed Wagner had 40000 casualties and 20000 dead, so 1) Russia is not reporting those. and 2) those fought the bloodiest battles, so that death and casualty ratio is, if closer to the average, on the exaggerated side
