Can someone explain why exactly this is going viral now?
So I guess because of the lockdowns and Zoomers are just failing at socialization and actually being a member of society, so sometimes when you just even ask them a basic question their eyes just glaze over and it's like they freeze and are unable to even formulate a response. So they just stare blankly at you with a dumb look on their face. This has been a thing now for at least 4 years.
I'm not sure if they copied this from White Lotus or White Lotus kind of was one of the first thing to really pick up on this and used it for the season 1 Sydney and her friend characters.
I swear they used to say this about Millennials 15 years ago, there were "thinkpieces" about it
It's the extreme amount of screen time they've had while growing up. Their brains are trained only to be receptive to sound and lights, but never having to reciprocate. So they hear what you've said, they understand that a question has been asked, but their understanding of these interactions is that you'll keep talking until you stop/until the video or clip ends. They don't actually know how to have a conversation.

Just stare, make it uncomfortable.
Make it memorable.

Imagine going back in time and trying to communicate with someone from the 1700s on a cell phone. They would illicit similar behavior. same concept
Anyhow, zoomers aren't even that bad. Just wait until you see the next generation who spent their first years of life 0-5 seeing nothing but human faces in covid masks. that's going to be a treat

>>510891884 (OP)Booba. As to OP's "point", the young generation has acted like this around older generations since the invention of the "teenager" concept in the mud 20th century. It's not new
