I used to hate this shithole but felt it was the only place left resembling the actual internet. When Discord/Reddit/Everywhere became infested with "pro-LGBT Speech" policies, it rallied women and trannies en masse, and it became fucking impossible to have a normal conversation anymore, without talking about gender-critical shit. I couldn't even work in game dev or modding channels anymore without being confronted with whether I was being "inclusive" or not.
With 4chan having somewhat of a crackdown on it, I'm starting to feel an intense amount of cognitive dissonance, as if my brain is breaking, because it truly is the last place I can go to, to escape the horror of IRL. As someone who has been socially awkward and probably autistic since I was little kid, it sucks to be confronted with the overly conscientous types of people on the internet who found it through Facebook and Twitter.
I believe what we see is that people are "shocked" discovering the "old internet" through the corporately sanitized surface, and decided they have to occupy it and bring attention to it. It also saddens me that some people in my camp couldn't helpt hemselves but create misogynistic YouTube channels with Anime mascots because they're cowards that can't stand by their words with their real persona. These issues instigated the public, and are now threatening my sole lifeline.
I hate 4chan. I was always like it is now. If you're surprised or think that it's something that's gotten out of hand, welcome to 2007 you retard. We've been doing this for a while, and back then it was someone as old as my dad typing in here.
