You're maybe 30 percent onto something. Irony is sincere if reality is ironic. Usually you need to adapt at that juncture. But not consider it good and evil. Just vulnerabilities and solutions. Ironic people may tend to superficially boil things down, but that doesn't mean they're trying to be evil.
