Epstein is connected to Israel, this is why Trump is covering it up. He doesn't want to risk the political fallout for Israel when people realize all of Epstein's clients were blackmailed and used as Israeli assets (including Trump himself).

His financial backer, Leslie Wexner, was a member of the “Mega Group,” a collection of Jewish philanthropists, which some, like former NSA counterspy John Schindler, have speculated was linked to Israeli intelligence operations, though no hard evidence supports this. Epstein reportedly invested in an Israeli startup, Reporty Homeland Security (later rebranded as Carbyne), connected to Israel’s defense industry, further fueling speculation."

No, it hasn't been 100 percent confirmed publicly yet, but-
1. Apparently Trump was concerned enough about it that he called Murdoch directly before the story dropped and demanded he bury it or face the full legal wrath of Trump personally and the DOJ. But despite getting a threatening phone call directly from the President of the United States, Murdoch let it run anyway. Strongly implying there's enough evidence of it's authenticity to commit to the story.
2. The fact that he had the Obama Russia "bombshell" ready to go and had Tulsi Gabbard drop it within hours of the story being released strongly implies he does not want people paying attention to it.
Neither of those prove anything, but it does certainly make it seem it's has Trump worried. He gets slandered in the media every day, so the fact that he's come out so strong against WSJ releasing this leads me personally to believe there's something to it.
