That's a bad way to go.
They are burying fixed nitrogen and minerals. In the end this will mean farmers will have to buy more artifical nitrogen fertilizer which is done in an energy expensive way through the Haber process and will most likely cause more CO2 release in the end then if they had done nothing.
Carbon emission offsets are such bullshit and often cause more harm than good.
