>>510925870It's very, very common, for people, even the types of girls that have 1000 friends and go to parties every week, to reach the "settled" age around their 30s and start posting stuff on Reddit like you're doing here. The sentiment is the same
>Suddenly I just don't have many friends, and I don't even know where to go to socialize anymore.30-year-olds are build into culture as being supposed to be taking care of their kids and have superficial relationships with other parents in the kindergarden or school, and get their "life experience time" through summer vacations. And they're expected to life their life at work as much as possible.
it's sad, but it's how society is constructed. I see a lot of america-flags here, and while the social services system (which Trump even ruined) is a bit stricter over there, I can say it's exactly the same thing here in Denmark. Life simply follows a certain pattern and by 31 you're kind of stuck with where you landed yourself. But techincally speaking there's loads of opportunities open to you. They're just surrounded by stigma because studying at this age will put you in with people that are in college, and hobbies will also certainly meet you up with a lot of people younger than you in many cases, or people who are too senior.
But finding a hobby, music or sports, is still the go-to. The gym too. I don't go out often or drink (I haven't been drunk in 2 years) so I don't know this, but I've just heard that half the usual spots become really awkward for you past 30, and you'll have to look for places that are deliberately occupied by older usual suspects, or feel out of place there.
