Anyway, I'm not trying to dissuade you from Christianity. But I do think the Bible is a meas and shouldn't be relied upon exclusively. In the end, the mainstream interpretations are just based on modern men who decided to place more value in some instances of the Bible than others. Because there are a lot of contradictions and problems.
