doesn't really matter as no woman would voluntarily choose polygamy over monogamy, as females are wired to obtain maximum resources for their offspring, but because pregnancy is really intensive and can only occurr so many times, females have high standards for the man who they will let impregnate them.

the problem is that educated women--meaning women who know that there is the option of monogamy--will always go to the mongamous option. groups like muslims and fundamentalist mormons are able to sidestep that because the females are taught from youth that polygyny is a commandment from God, basically.

very powerful men can simply be so desirable on a resource level or w/e, that the average woman cannot resist even if she knows that he's seeing other women.
